Product Description
The internal combustion engine (ICE) in a hybrid vehicle endures a unique set of challenges. Infrequent engine usage and increased stop/start activity place demands on lubricants not common in traditional ICE vehicles. AMSOIL 100% Synthetic Hybrid Motor Oil is a premium upgrade over vehicle-manufacturer-branded motor oils, delivering purpose-built protection for the hybrid-drive cycle to maximize hybrid engine life, efficiency and performance.

COMBATS CORROSION AND WATER CONTAMINATION
• Formulated with a boosted dose of inhibitors to help prevent condensation-related corrosion and maintain optimal engine performance.
• Contains an elevated level of dispersants to manage water that enters through condensation.

Hybrid engines operate intermittently, making them especially vulnerable to corrosion. Infrequent use and reduced load on the ICE leads to lower engine temperatures that are insufficient to completely remove condensation inside the engine by evaporation, which can lead to rust, wear and decreased efficiency. AMSOIL 100% Synthetic Hybrid Motor Oil is formulated with a boosted dose of inhibitors to help prevent condensation-related corrosion and maintain optimal engine performance. It also contains an elevated level of dispersants to manage water that enters through condensation.

Frequent stop/start activity can lead to cooler cylinders and incomplete combustion, increasing the likelihood of unburnt fuel leaking down the cylinder walls into the crankcase and contaminating the motor oil, reducing its ability to provide proper lubrication. AMSOIL 100% Synthetic Hybrid Motor Oil is engineered with robust viscosity to combat the
negative effects of fuel dilution.

Because hybrid engines are used intermittently, they endure more frequent starts and stops where motor oil flow duration is short. Therefore oil needs to flow quickly when the engine engages to reach critical components. The issue is more severe when the engine engages to assist the electric motor during high-load and must instantly reach high rpm and power output. AMSOIL 100% Synthetic Hybrid Motor Oil is formulated to manage those issues with optimal low-temperature viscosity control to ensure rapid protection of components during frequent startup.

SERVICE LIFE
Normal Service: Up to 15,000 miles (24,000 kms) or one year, whichever comes first, in personal vehicles not operating under severe service.

Severe Service: Follow the severe-service drain interval prescribed by your vehicle manufacturer in your owner's manual.

COMPATIBILITY
AMSOIL 100% Synthetic Hybrid Motor Oil is compatible with other synthetic and conventional motor oils. Mixing AMSOIL motor oil with other oils, however, will shorten the oil's life expectancy and reduce its performance benefits. AMSOIL does not support extended drain intervals where oils have been mixed.

Aftermarket oil additives are not recommended for use with AMSOIL motor oils.
